Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil Challenge

I heard many people raving about the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil and I just had to buy it. I purchased mine from Escentual.com, 45ml for £21.85 with free delivery and free gift wrap.
Its a "pure natural rosheip oil to deliver all-over nourishment and repair for optimum skin health". It claims to be effective on scars, stretchmarks, dry, dehydrated and ageing skin. Its packed with omega 3, 6 and 9 goodness and is odorless, yellow in colour, and non-greasy.
So far I've only used the product twice, but I can definitely notice big a difference. My skin feels softer, smoother and looks a lot brighter. I'm going to be posting before and after pictures in about three months time because it normally takes that long for the oil to work its magic. So please keep you eyes peeled out for them.

Gucci Guilty Intense EDP Review

The Gucci Guilty Intense perfume is my all time favourite perfume, it's AMAZING! I purchased the Gucci Guilty Intense Gift Set from Boots for £43.33. I had a £5 off voucher so I only ended up paying £38.33, which is a bargain. The set consists of the 50ml Eau de Parfum, 50ml body lotion, and a 7.4ml purse spray.
Buying gift sets offer more value for money, so I always try to go for the sets when purchasing my perfumes. Usually the sets cost the same price or even less than buying the perfume alone, but include a free product with it, such as the lotion or shower gel. The perfume comes in a luxurious gold mirror shine and purple glass packaging, with the Gucci Guilty logo on it. It looks smart and sophisticated, it would look good in anyone's bedroom.

The Gucci Guilty Intense has the same scent as the original Gucci Guilty perfume but it's more powerful and intense. The smell lasts for ages and has a floral scent. "The scent seizes attention with a flamboyant opening of mandarin which shimmers alongside a bold burst of pink pepper". It has top notes of mandarin and pink pepper, mid notes of lilac, violet and heliotropine, and base notes of patchouli and amber.

I love this scent and can't stop raving about it enough. If your looking for a sexy, seductive floral perfume which can be worn all day, everyday, through the winter and the summer, then this is definitely the one. I rate this 5/5.

Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle EDT Review

The Dior Hypnotic Poison Eau Sensuelle is not one of my favourite perfumes. It has a very strong, overpowering, musky scent, which doesn't really appeal to me. The bottle has been crafted with "generous shapes and transparency, revealing luminous femininity with magnetic seduction." The fragrance is very woody and has top notes of Ylang-Ylang, orange blossom and rose, mid notes of orchid and tuberose, and base notes of sandalwood and vanilla.
The perfume comes in a beautiful maroon coloured glass bottle and feels really smooth in the hand. The perfume is available at many retailers, I purchased mine from Boots, 50ml for £51.50. It is a big investment because of the price, but it does have a strong smell which lasts for ages, so a little goes a long way. This perfume is perfect to wear in the evening or in the winter months, its not really something I would wear in the summer.  I rate this perfume 3/5.

Yves Saint Laurent Belle D'Opium EDP Review

The YSL Belle D'Opium perfume is a beautiful perfume. The scent is "the narcotic scent of Casablanca Lily blends with spicy swirling incense and mysterious overtones of a Nargileh accord". Its been designed for "a woman full of ambivalence, elusive and obsessive, powerful and troubling, ingenue but dangerous. Her perfume, a disconcertingly bewitching new oriental."
Its available in Boots, 50ml is £64. It is an expensive perfume, but a little goes a long way as it has a very strong smell which lasts for hours. I love the packaging it comes in, it has an opaque blue glass bottle, which is darker on the outer corners and lightens as you look to the middle of the bottle. It has round see-through glass in the middle showing the yellow perfume inside with the Belle D'Opium logo in gold. When the bottle hits the light, it looks stunning.
The perfume has top notes of Casablanca lily, jasmine and mandarin, base notes of patchouli and sandalwood, and heart notes of incense, fruity and peach. The Belle D'Opium has a musky, powdery scent, which can be overpowering when you first apply the perfume, but it soon settles down and becomes less noticeable. It's a very feminine perfume and it would suit strong, powering women. I think this perfume is suitable for evening wear, as it may be too overpowering for the day time. Overall, this is a great perfume, it's a bit expensive but worth it. I would rate it 4/5.

Soap & Glory Butter Yourself Review

If you haven't tried this cream yet, then you're missing out! The Soap & Glory cream is AMAZING! I love it so much. It's described as a fruity body moisturiser containing exfoliating AHAs, orange, waterjuice, shea butter, peppermint oil and fruitliquid fig. Its scented with a fruitigo fragrance. The directions advise you to massage a big dollop of the cream all over your body after showering or bathing. It comes in a lovely bright pink pot with a funky S&G label describing the product. This product is available from Boots for £10.50, which is expensive, but totally worth it! Most of the time the cream is available on the 3 for 2 offer which makes it an even better deal.
When you unscrew the lid, you're hit with the most amazing smell, you just want to eat it all up. It has a very fruity smell. similar to grapefruit, so if you don't like fruity smells, I would avoid it. The moisturiser is a baby pink colour and has a really thick, smooth texture. It sinks into the skin straight away without leaving the skin feeling greasy. It makes the skin feel super soft and fresh.
I even apply it to my face at night, and i wake up with a smooth, clear, fresh looking face. Because of the AHAs in the cream it also lightens any blemishes you may have. I have really oily skin which is prone to spots, and i feel by using this cream it has helped control my skin, i don't get spots anymore! I would advise you do a test patch if you are going to use it on your face as it may not suit everyone. Also this cream makes your skin sensitive to sunlight because of the AHAs it contains, so it is advisable to wear a good suncream. I think this cream is lush and rate it 5/5. I would highly rate it to anyone!

E.L.F Gypsy Lipstick Review

I love E.L.F products, they're cheap and of a high quality. I purchased my E.L.F products when there was a 50% off discount available. The product used to cost £1, but now the price has increased to £1.50, which is still very cheap for the quality of product you get. On top of this price the E.L.F website offers heavy discounts such as 60% off and 50% off, so most of the time the product costs well under £1, which is an absolute bargain!

I love this lipstick! It comes in a simple silver plastic packaging with a metallic silver E.L.F logo on it. The packaging looks simple yet sophisticated, but it feels a bit cheap. You can't complain for the price though.
Top: Gypsy in the sunlight.
Bottom: Gypsy in the shade.
I have the shade Gypsy and its a pinkish purple shade, the colour is very similar the Soap & Glory's lipstick in Guavarama. It has a thin consistency and its smooth and soft to apply. You can use one layer for a natural look during the day or add more layers for a more dramatic look in the evening. This lipstick has a satin finish and a good level of pigment, it lasts for a couple of hours too. I would rate it 4/5.

E.L.F Mineral Lipstick Review

I purchased the E.L.F Mineral Lipstick in Rich Raspberry from the E.L.F website for £5, but I received a 50% off discount and got this lipstick for £2.50. I think this lipstick is amazing! If you're looking for a lipstick on a budget with a very high quality, this would definitely be the one. It is very similar to the Soap & Glory's plumping lipstick or the more high end lipsticks.
Its formulated with minerals, and vitamins to give a flawless effect and contains no parabens, preservatives or chemical dyes, which is a bonus. Its super pigmented, soft and smooth to apply. It glides on very easily and has a thick consistency, its super glossy and is a pinky purple colour.
Top: Rich Raspberry in the sunlight.
Bottom: Rich Raspberry in the shade.
The E.L.F mineral lipstick comes in a simple matt black packaging with a white E.L.F logo on it. The packaging isn't very appealing, the product inside is lush. I would rate it 5/5.

Soap & Glory Lipstick Review

I bought the Soap & Glory super-colour fabulipstick satin finish in Guavarama. Its described as a collagen boosting lipstick with plumping pre-peptides. It features an Ultimelt lip shine and shaping technology with 3D plump peptide complex, shea butter, monoi butter and vitamin E. It also contains Hyaluronic acid and Ceramide 2 to give a soft, smooth, dewy, plump colour-fill pout.

It comes in a simple black glossy packaging with the pink Soap & Glory logo and it's very sturdy and well made. When you open the lid it has a gold casing and the lipstick has the Soap & Glory logo indented into the lipstick.
Top: Guavarama in the sunlight.
Bottom: Guavarama in the shade.
The S&G lipstick has a  thick, smooth, soft consistency and glides on really easily. Its super pigmented and has a slight plumping effect, which is not very noticeable. It has a dark pinky purple colour and lasts for hours. A little goes a long way with this lipstick. This lipstick can be worn in the day and topped up in the evening with a few layers to give a more intense colour. I rate this lipstick 5/5.

Models Own Lipsticks Review

I purchased the Models Own Lipsticks from Boots in the summer. They're normally £6 each but I bought them when they were on offer. Boots had a 3 for 2 offer running at the time, which was a bargain. The colours really popped out and they come in a clear sparkly plastic packaging with a with models own logo. I bought the Orangeade shade and the Coral shade.

Orangeade:

This is a really vibrant, bright orange colour which really pops out and its perfect for the summer time. I'm in love with the colour, but felt I had to use it with a soft pink colour lipstick on top to tone it down as it was too bright for my skin tone. Its been described as "matt hyper brite", but I found it to have a soft satin sheen. It has a light coverage and you need to apply a few layers to get a good amount of colour. It felt hard to apply, it felt like i was rolling hard plastic on my lips. Overall, if your looking for a bright orange coloured lipstick on a budget, this really is a great lipstick to try.

Top: Orangeade in the shade.
Bottom: Orangeage in the daylight.
Coral:
This is a bright coral pink colour, its very similar to the orangeade shade but with a hint of pink in it. This lipstick also felt hard to apply, and needed layers to build up the colour. It has a matt to satin sheen and i felt i had to soften the colour down with a soft pink colour on top as this colour didn't suit my skin tone either.

Top: Coral shade in the shade.
Bottom:  Coral shade in daylight.
Conclusion:
These lipsticks are perfect for the summer time and would suit light/fair skin toned people. They have a bright colour which stands out, which is great if you want to make a statement. They need a couple of layers to achieve a good level of pigment, but saying that, they do last for a couple of hours once applied. There inexpensive to buy and would suit anyone's budget. I rate these 3/5.

MUA Lipsticks Review

I've had these lipsticks for a while and I thought I would review them because I think there amazing. You can buy these lipsticks from Superdrug or the MUA online store and they only cost £1 each. I love makeup especially if its a bargain, you just cant go wrong! MUA currently have 16 shades in their lipstick collection.

The lipsticks come in simple black packaging with a small screw cap pot at the bottom of the lipstick containing the same shade of lipstick as the top, which can be handy if you apply your lipstick with a brush. I find these pots super cute! The lipsticks have an opaque to thick consistency and  have glossy, satin, metallic and glittery finishes.

The Shades:
MUA offers a variety of shades to suit everyone's needs. They have a very creamy, moisturising texture and glide on very smoothly.

Shade One:
With Flash                                                Without Flash
I found shade 1 really thick and smooth to apply. Its a deep dark red and only needs one or two coats as its super pigmented. I really love the colour but the pictures don't do it much justice as it looks a lot darker in person. I think this would be great to wear in the evening or during the winter months.

Shade Two:
With Flash                                                    Without Flash
Shade 2 is a light pinkish purple colour and its very thin and opaque, you need a couple of coats for a more pigmented colour. This would be perfect to wear during the day.

Shade Three:
With Flash                                                   Without Flash
Shade 3 is a thick, super pigmented bright pink coloured lipstick. I'm in love with this colour, its really smooth to apply and only needs one or two coats. It would be perfect to wear in the summer months or in the evening.

Shade Four:
With Flash                                                           Without Flash
I found shade 4 to be light and opaque, it needs a couple of coats to reach a certain amount of pigment. Its a light baby pink colour, it was almost nude on my lips. It would be perfect to wear during the day as a natural look.

Shade Six:
With Flash                                               Without Flash
Shade 6 is really thick, shimmery and metallic. Its a medium metallic pink colour with a hint of gold in it. I'm not a fan of this shade. If your lips are not smooth at the time of applying, it will show all of the small cracks in the lips. This is best to wear in the evening.

Shade Seven:
With Flash                                                   Without Flash
Shade 7 is really thick, shimmery and metallic. Its very similar to shade 6 but its slightly darker, i would say almost a dark peachy pink. I wasn't keen on the shimmer in this shade, however, I did like the colour. This is best to wear in the evening.

Shade Eight:
With Flash                                                        Without Flash
Shade 8 has a thick consistency and is easy to apply, it only needed one or two coats. The colour is very similar to shade 1 but it has big chunks of glitter in it. It felt grainy and made my lips look like a disco ball. I'm not a fan of the glitter, but I do like the colour. This is best to wear in the evening.

Shade Eleven:
With Flash                                             Without Flash
Shade 11 has a really thick consistency. Its a dark peachy brown colour and is super glossy. This is one of my favourite colours and is perfect for both day and night wear.
Shade Twelve:
With Flash                                           Without Flash
Shade 12 is medium pink colour and has a thick consistency with large silver glitter chunks in it. It felt grainy and made my lips look like a disco ball. I'm not a fan of this shade. This is best to wear in the evening.

Shade Thirteen:
With Flash                                           Without Flash
Shade 13 is a glossy bright red lipstick. Its thick in consistency and is the best colour out of all the shades in my opinion. Its super pigmented and only need one or two coats. Its perfect for both day and night.

Shade Fifteen:
With Flash                                         Without Flash
Shade 15 is a creamy light pink colour, almost like a light strawberry milkshake. It has a thick consistency and a glossy finish, but it shows all of the small cracks on the lips. I wasn't fond of this shade. It is best worn during the day.

Shade Sixteen:
With Flash                                          Without Flash

Shade 16 is very similar to shade 15 but slightly darker. Its a creamy peachy orange colour with a thick, glossy consistency, this also has a milky look about it. It also shows all of the small cracks on the lips and is best worn during the day. I was not fond of this shade.

Conclusion:

Shades 1, 3, 11, 13 are super pigmented and have a thick consistency. They have have a glossy appearance are the best shades in my collection.

Shades 2 and 4 are more opaque and thin in consistency, they are best worn during the day or when you want a more natural look.

Shades 6 and 7 are thick in consistency and have a metallic finish. I'm not keen on metallic finishes, so I won't be purchasing these shades again. However, they are best worn in the evenings if you are a fan.

Shades 8 and 12 are thick in consistency and glossy, they have large chunks of glitter in which makes the lipstick feel grainy, which wasn't pleasant when applied. I won't be purchasing these shades again. However, if you are a fan, they are best worn in the evenings.

Shade 15 and 16 are thick in consistency and super glossy. They have a creamy texture, they look milky when applied. I felt that these shades didn't suit my skin tone, I think they would suit people with very fair/light skin. For this reason I will not be purchasing these shades again.

So ladies, before you buy a lipstick please make sure you check that it suits your skin tone. However, at £1 a lipstick you cant go wrong. You can use these to test what shade suits you best and the quality is amazing. They are similar to the more high end products which cost a lot more. I find the MUA lipsticks to be cheap and cheerful which would suit any budget. I rate them 4/5.
